NANCY DENSLOW, PH.D.

Dr. Denslow received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Florida in 1975. After postdoctoral work and a tour as Visiting Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in Brazil, she became the Director of the Protein Chemistry Core Facility at the University of Florida. She served in this capacity for 15 years during which time she transformed the core into a state of the art Proteomics Facility. In addition she pursued her research interests in protein chemistry and environmental exposure to estrogens. Dr. Denslow has been an active participant in several fledging biotechnology companies at the University of Florida Biotechnology Development Institute in Alachua, Florida. These include Aquagene, LLC and EcoArray, Inc. as well as Banyan Biomarkers. She has received numerous grants from the Federal Government to fund her research which has resulted in over 80 publications.
